On March 24, the first national key research and development project "High Efficiency Pesticide and Intermediate Green Preparation Technology" (project number: 2017YFB0307200) led by our company successfully passed the comprehensive performance evaluation and acceptance organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
This project is the first national key research and development plan project undertaken by Hunan Haili Chemical Co., Ltd. during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period. The project leader is Dr. Liu Weidong, the chairman of the company. Since its launch in 2017, 15 domestic backbone units engaged in pesticide research, development, and production, including Hunan Research Institute of Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., Nanjing University of Technology, Zhejiang University of Technology, and Nantong Taihe Co., Ltd., have formed an "industry-university-research-application" superior team and carried out a 4-year scientific and technological research. The project aims at the problems of unreasonable production process route, many intermittent reactions, poor chemical/stereoselectivity, and poor atom economy in the pesticide industry. Through the research on key scientific issues such as the selective/directional control mechanism of high-efficiency catalysts and the principle of catalytic process enhancement, the project has overcome key technical difficulties such as the efficient and selective oxidation of arylmethyl groups to prepare aromatic formic acid, the preparation of the key intermediate (S)-hydroxyindanone acid methyl ester of the chiral pesticide indoxacarb, and the preparation of benzonitrile by continuous ammonia oxidation. Generic technology, new technology of asymmetric catalytic oxidation, ammonia oxidation catalyst resistant to chlorine corrosion and dechlorination, forming a catalytic oxidation system with independent intellectual property rights and core technology and equipment for multidimensional and multiphase reactions. 8 sets of production devices have been built, including 3 thousand-ton green production demonstration lines, realizing the application demonstration of key equipment and industrialized complete sets of integrated technologies. The successful completion of the project has enhanced the technological innovation capability of my country's pesticide industry and promoted industrial transformation and upgrading.
Hunan Haili successfully completed the national key research and development project for the first time, which is an important achievement of our company's continuous deepening of reform and technological development. It marks that our company's scientific research work has the ability to solve major national scientific and technological problems and the ability to organize and coordinate.
