On April 15th, Hunan Haili and German Bayer held a ceremony to celebrate the success of their cooperation in the Haili Changde Company on the Sulfur Sunway project. Thiosinway project is one of Hunan Haili's cooperation projects with huge investment and advanced technology, and it is also a model project of Bayer's project transfer in China.
Bayer is one of the world's top 500 companies in Germany, and its business scope includes medicine, diagnostic equipment, crop protection products, plastics, etc. At present, it has branches and offices in more than 200 countries and regions around the world, and its sales in 2018 were 39.586 billion euros.
Hunan Haili is the first high-tech enterprise developed and grown by a scientific research institute in Hunan Province, and the first company listed in Shanghai in Hunan. Based on contemporary agriculture and relying on the strong scientific research strength of Hunan Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Hunan Haili has gradually grown into a national innovative enterprise, a backbone enterprise in the national pesticide industry, and a global leading enterprise in carbamate pesticides.
The development of new pesticides and their key intermediates is an important link in the technological innovation of pesticides and the main direction of the structural adjustment of pesticide products. Thiodicarb is a second-generation carbamate insecticide with good effect and low residue. It is a key pesticide for controlling agricultural pests worldwide. As a low-toxic derivative product of the highly toxic pesticide methomyl, the development of this variety has important practical significance, and the product has a broad market prospect. Hunan Haili made full use of the technical development capabilities of Hunan Research Institute of Chemical Industry to establish the production technology of thiodicarb and its key intermediates. All indicators reached or exceeded the literature and domestic standards.
Hunan Haili and Bayer officially established trade relations in 2006. With excellent quality, advanced technology and good service, the scale of cooperation between the two parties has increased year by year. In 2014, the two parties entered the stage of strategic cooperation. Hunan Haili built a 4,000-ton/year thiodimethomyl production plant and its supporting public works and facilities in its wholly-owned subsidiary Hunan Haili Changde Pesticide Chemical Co., Ltd.
Bayer attaches great importance to the cooperation with Hunan Haili, and deeply participates in the whole process of the construction of the sulfonyl plant. It conducts a large-scale technical exchange review once a month, and sends professional engineers to the site for supervision and support. The device configuration and support capabilities are all benchmarked against the international advanced level. The project also strictly realizes the "three simultaneous" of safety and environmental protection, and invested in the construction of supporting "three wastes" environmental protection facilities such as exhaust gas incinerator, solid-liquid incinerator and wastewater treatment device, which greatly improved the operating environment of the factory.
Through continuous optimization of production organization and adjustment of process parameters, the project team eliminated major capacity bottlenecks one by one and realized stable operation of the device. As of the end of March this year, the project has produced more than 800 tons of products and achieved sales revenue of more than 100 million yuan. At the same time, the cluster effect brought about by the project has begun to appear. Hunan Haili is further deepening and promoting this strategic cooperation model to carry out long-term strategic cooperation with important customers on projects and products, laying a solid foundation for the realization of the company's "13th Five-Year Plan" strategic plan.
